“Il Muto Rumore dell’Acqua” solo exhibition (8 Nov – 9 Jan 2013)

Invitation to the opening of my new solo exhibition.

It is only one week away The opening of my new solo exhibition “The Silent Noise of Water” (8 Nov – 7 Jan 2013).  After the gritty, gloomy suburban environments of the “Journey of no Return” series, this time the setting is more natural, with the water as common element, whether the sea, a lake or a river, or just alluded by the type of environment. Water to me inspires introspection, symbolizes life and is associated with the idea of purification and renovation. I have tried to show my characters in a state of abandonment, disillusionment and melancholy, often vulnerable and defenseless in their nakedness. As the exhibition’s title suggests, the water becomes silent to these characters, invaded by the confused noise of the flowing of their feelings, searching for their inner self and their place in the world. ESPAÑOL: Falta solamente una semana a la abertura de mi nueva exposición individual “Il Muto Rumore dell’Acqua” (8 noviembre –  7 enero 2013). Tras el duro, sombrío ambiente suburbano de la serie “Viaje de no retorno”, esta vez el escenario es más natural, con el agua como elemento común, ya sea del mar, de un lago, de un río o simplemente aludida por el tipo de paisaje. El agua para mi inspira introspección, simboliza la vida y se asocia a la idea de purificación y renovación. He intentado pintar los personajes en un estado de abandono, desconcierto, desilusión y melancolia, frecuentemente vulnerables e indefensos en su desnudez. Como el título de la exposición sugiere, el agua se hace muda para esos personajes, invadidos por el confuso ruido del fluir de sus sentimientos, buscandose a sí mismos y su lugar en el mundo.
